Quick lamb gyros tacos, crispy, juicy and easy to make.
Lamb Mixture
500 g minced lamb (20% fat)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp ground cumin
½ tsp sweet paprika
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
Tacos
8 mini flour tortillas
2 tbsp olive oil
To Serve
Tzatziki
Tomatoes, sliced
Sumac onions
Flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
Chips (air-fryer or frozen)
Lemon wedges
Prepare the Meat
Combine all the meat mixture ingredients in a bowl.
Mix well and divide into 8 portions.
Assemble
Lay tortillas flat.
Place one portion of meat in the centre of each tortilla and press evenly to the edges.
Cook
Heat oil in a pan over medium–high heat.
Cook the tacos meat-side down for 2–3 minutes until crispy.
Flip and cook 30 seconds until the tortilla is golden.
Cook in batches, adding more oil if needed.
Serve
Top with tzatziki, tomatoes, sumac onions and parsley.
Finish with fries and lemon wedges.
