From 25 February to 31 March 2026, Phuket will become the stage for a celebration of premium Australian beef and lamb.

Led by Meat & Livestock Australia in partnership with Penfolds, The Great Steak Escape Phuket Edition brings together ten leading restaurants to present exclusive, limited-time menus showcasing the depth, flavour and versatility of premium Australian beef and lamb.

Not a generic steak promotion, but instead, a curated culinary experience across Phuket’s most distinctive dining destinations.

A Premium Experience Across 10 Restaurants In Phuket

Each restaurant has crafted signature dishes that highlight specific Australian beef and lamb cuts through their own culinary identity. From braised short ribs and Wagyu steaks to lamb racks, rendang interpretations and charcoal grilled classics, the campaign demonstrates how Australian red meat performs across global cuisines.

The menus are available for a limited period only.

Culinary Leadership with Chef Ian Kittichai

A key highlight of this edition is the involvement of Ian Kittichai, Aussie Beef Mates Thailand and MLA Ambassador 2025.

Following his study trip to Australia to understand farm-to-plate beef and lamb production systems, Chef Ian led an exclusive Aussie Meat Academy masterclass for chefs from participating restaurants. The session focused on premium BBQ techniques, quality management and menu innovation aligned with evolving consumer expectations.

Elevated Pairings with Penfolds

The campaign launch was supported by Penfolds, the iconic Australian wine house established in 1844.

Select restaurants feature curated wine pairings designed to complement the richness and structure of Australian beef and lamb, delivering a refined dining experience that connects premium produce with world-class winemaking.
