To further promote Australian lamb consumption, GO Wholesale partnered with the Australian Embassy and Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) - the organization responsible for marketing, research, and development of Australia’s beef, lamb, goat and livestock industries - to host the “Aussie Lamb Festival” at GO Wholesale Rangsit branch.
The event was officially opened by Mr. Cameron Allan, Trade and Investment Commissioner, Australian Embassy, and Mr. Michael Crowley, Managing Director of MLA, and warmly welcomed by Mr. Ricardo Barotto, Chief Executive Officer, Central Food Wholesale, along with Ms. Sunny Siddiq, Vice President – Merchandise Management.

A Premium Ingredient Taking Centre Stage
As Australian lamb continues to rise in popularity among Thai consumers, chefs and food operators, the festival spotlighted its growing appeal as a premium, high-quality protein known for its tenderness, rich flavour, high protein content and versatility across global cuisines.

Exclusive Culinary Creations by MLA LAMBASSADOR Chef Art
The event featured a Chef Table experience showcasing exclusive dishes crafted by Chef Art – Pakpoom Suwannathame, an officially appointed LAMBASSADOR by MLA (Meat & Livestock Australia). Guests enjoyed three specially created menus highlighting the versatility of Australian lamb:
-
Bánh Mì with slow-braised Australian lamb shank

-
Butter Massaman Curry with Australian lamb shoulder

-
Lamb Rack Steak with Thai Jaew Sauce

Australian lamb is internationally recognised for its exceptional quality throughout the entire supply chain, from farm to table. Sheep are primarily raised in New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia and Tasmania, regions known for rich grasslands. Livestock is free-range and pasture-fed, with careful attention to breed selection, animal welfare, and natural grazing practices. The production process is fully traceable back to the farm of origin and adheres to global standards, including HACCP, ISO, CHPs, and Halal certification per importing country requirements. Key strengths of Australian lamb include its exceptional tenderness, mild aroma, balanced marbling, and high protein content, delivering a rich yet clean flavour. Consistent quality across every production batch makes it ideal for a wide variety of culinary applications—whether grilling, shabu-shabu, mala hot pot, or cuisines ranging from Western, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and ASEAN to modern fusion dishes favoured by the younger generation.
